Blaize Morningstar

In 1997, Blaize had graduated high school and was working in the survey research division at Michigan State University when a coworker told her about the Health Enrichment Center (HEC), a local massage school. After visiting the school, Blaize had an epiphany realizing this could be a career choice. The accredited massage school offered curriculum and training in massage and was the first of its kind in the country that offered an articulation agreement with a university. The founder of HEC, Sandy Fritz, wrote the major textbooks for massage education used all over the world! Sandy is a wealth of knowledge and continues to be a leader in massage education as well as a practitioner who continues to work on NFL and NBA players. Blaize learned firsthand from Sandy during her 3 years of massage school.

The program was life changing. Blaize received over 1750 hours of training, including time at the innovative on-site clinics for HEC massaging NFL players (Detroit Lions), the elderly at senior care facilities and veterans at the VA Hospital. This was the beginning of a life-long voyage for Blaize.

After completing her massage training she worked in various chiropractic offices and spas. About five years into her massage career, Blaize began her journey to become a certified yoga instructor. The two modalities were complimentary and offered a larger toolbox of self-care for her clients. Blaize uses yoga as a tool to empower her clients in their body’s journey to optimal health and balance.

In 2009 Blaize had her first child, then in 2010 Blaize moved to the Big Island of Hawaii, birthed her second child as well as Morningstar Massage and Yoga business. She continues her practice of massage and yoga and is now a mentor to other practitioners. She is currently working on a curriculum and sharing the Blaize Blend therapy with others.
